Recommendations for Kara Comparetto |
June, 2006
As a teacher, it is a rare gift to come across
a student that has not only a natural musical gift, but also a deep
passion for music, and the self-discipline and motivation needed to
excel. Kara has been such a student. As a piano teacher for 20 years, I
have had the privilege or working with Kara for the past 8 years of her
life. It has been a joy to watch her fine-tune her skills and grow into
the wonderful musician she is today.
Kara has had many opportunities to perform in
the Concord area. Her playing demonstrates a maturity beyond her years
in its polish and expression. Her technique and musicianship are
equally strong, enabling her to communicate freely and
confidently. Throughout the years she has built up an amazingly
large repertoire of solo and fourhanded works that she can perform.
Kara has a solid understanding of music theory
and music history. She has grown up surrounded with classical music and
is well-informed regarding composers and their styles. She has been an
eager student, always ready to take on new challenges and broaden her
scope of musical understanding.
For a few years now, Kara has been teaching
out of her home in Concord and it is her desire to expand her studio. I
am delighted to see her take this route. She is an outgoing, friendly
individual with a sweet disposition and I am sure students will respond
well to her instruction. She is also a good communicator and is able to
make music enjoyable and understandable to her students. Music is such
an important part of who Kara is, and I know she wishes to share this
love for music with others. I can whole-heartedly recommend her as she
seeks to continue in this direction.

In regards to: "One Enchanted Evening May 20, 2006"
Kara Comparetto 127 Warren Street Concord,~ 03301
Dear Kara,
Thank you so much for volunteering your time,
at playing the
piano, on May 20th for our "One Enchanted Evening" program for our
residents at Granite Ledges. The night was a great success and was made
even lovelier by the music you were playing. You are a very special
young lady and the residents not only enjoy your company and smile, but
your talent too.
I am also delighted that you are continuing as one of our regular
entertainers here at Granite Ledges. Your training in classical music
is one that is hard to come by.
If I can ever recommend you to anyone, please
don't hesitate to ask.
Better yet, have them call me. I will be happy to give them a wonderful
reference concerning you and your talent at the piano.

To Whom it May Concern:
As an adult student of Kara Comparetto, I am
pleased to recommend her.
When I began with Kara, I had no musical
background at all. With her delightful, gentle way she has brought me
to level three in two years. She is knowledgeable and thorough, and is
always positive. She uses a clear, systematic approach when presenting
the material, and takes my goals into consideration while teaching me.
I can say without a doubt I will continue with her as long as she will
have me.
I am also pleased with the progress of my
twelve year old daughter, Cailey. Kara's ability to transition
from adult to youth pupil is evident. Cailey Is enthusiastic about
piano, and enjoys her lessons with Kara. When the time is right, we
look forward to Kara training our youngest child, Hildi.
I have a very high regard for Kara, and feel
privileged to have her as my piano teacher. I recommend her to anyone
wishing an excellent piano training experience for students of any age.

Recommendations for Amy Comparetto

Amy enrolled as my student about seven years ago, the third child of a very musical family. I soon saw in Amy a great passion for music and a commitment to excel. She has been a wonderfully self-motivated student, a quality that has enabled her to accomplish great things up to this point in her education.
Her repertoire of music is extensive, much beyond her years. Her technique and musicianship are also mature and developed, allowing for great communication at the piano. She has opportunities to perform in the community and is a welcomed performer around the Concord area. Amy also studies cello and has been a member of the Concord Chorale, both opportunities which contribute to her musical versatility.
This year she took a challenging theory course that she completed with high honors. She also has an extensive knowledge of music history and composers which has come from much outside reading and listening on her own.
I am excited about the opportunity she has to teach and am confident she will pursue this role with the same excitement and commitment that I have seen from her these many years.

Amy is a very talented and thoughtful teacher. She is my 9 year old daughter's first instructor, and we have been very pleased and impressed with her approach.
Lessons are enjoyable and inspire practice and improved performance. She is very patient and encouraging while communicating the benefits of serious piano study.
Amy has offered my daughter a great start for what I hope will be a long tenure with the piano, and a life-long love of music.
